You may not have heard of Mondaine but their design has graced the London Design Museum and New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Apple ipad and iphone users (iOS6) should be familiar with the clock face which led to Apple being sued for using the Swiss design without permission, proving the design icon has lost none of its appeal in the digital age.
Mondaine are the official timekeeper of the Swiss Federal Railway and have created a wide range of timepieces based on their iconic design which can be seen over 3000 times across the Swiss railway network. This Mondaine Sport Line watch uses a Swiss quartz analogue movement (RONDA 517), has the traditional white dial with batons, date/day function, stainless steel case and black leather strap. The case measures 41mm x 9mm, and is water resistant to 100m.

The manual-wind watch is all the more eye-catching for its sheer simplicity – few brands would dare to release a watch with such little embellishment, yet the Tangente proves that less is most definitely more, and the award-winning watch has become a style icon in its own right.
